Best for

  • Agents who want instant AI edits instead of waiting for a human editor
  • Enhancing, decluttering and staging photos from the same phone

Not for

  • Human editing for day-to-dusk conversions and other custom work through BoxBrownie
  • A camera that blends dozens of exposures per shot

How it works

  1. Shoot the room in the app, or pick photos from your phone.
  2. Pick Enhance, Declutter or Stage. Each result takes 20 to 60 seconds.
  3. Compare it with the original and save it. Staged files come labeled.

SnapSnapSnap is BoxBrownie's iPhone camera app for agents who photograph their own property listings, announced in February 2023. It takes multiple exposures per shot and sends photos to BoxBrownie for paid editing. Real Estate Camera is an alternative that edits with AI on your phone: 1 credit for Enhance, 2 for Declutter or Virtual staging.

What I say about SnapSnapSnap comes from BoxBrownie's launch post, dated February 7, 2023. That post is three years old, so check the App Store listing for current features. Real Estate Camera is our app.

What SnapSnapSnap does well

The launch post says the app presets camera settings for real estate photography so anyone can use it. BoxBrownie's CEO says each shot takes 45 to 70 photos that are condensed into one, and a co-founder says it blends bracketed exposures. An agent quoted in the post describes it as point and shoot. You can submit photos for editing from within the app, including day-to-dusk conversions.

BoxBrownie's backing helps: it runs a human editing service, so the app connects you with real editors.

When an alternative makes sense

Human editing costs money and takes time. If a property listing goes live tomorrow, or you want to try three staging styles in one room, an instant AI edit is a better fit. For BoxBrownie's human editing rates and turnaround times, read our BoxBrownie comparison.
